Cosmetic Procedures Total Almost 16 Million in 2015

Breast augmentation is most popular cosmetic surgical procedure

The popularity of breast enhancement and botox continued last year, according to the 2015 National Plastic Surgery Statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgery. The top 5 cosmetic surgical procedures in 2015 were breast augmentation, liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and tummy tuck. The top 5 cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures were botulinum toxin, soft tissue fillers, chemical peels, laser hair removal and microdermabrasion. In all, the 15.9 million cosmetic procedures performed in 2015 represent an increase of 2%.

The ASPS also highlighted a 4% increase in breast reconstruction procedures to “close the loop” on breast cancer, the rising popularity of male breast reduction and significant growth in buttocks augmentation, implants and lifts.
