Implant choices – saline or silicone?
Women who have breast augmentation can choose saline-filled or silicone gel-filled breast implants. Both of these safe and beautiful options are FDA approved, tested and durable.
Saline breast implants consist of a silicone rubber shell filled with a sterile saltwater solution. Saline implants are inserted through a relatively small incision. Silicone breast implants are prefilled with a silicone gel that is soft to the touch but maintains its general shape. Silicone implants usually require larger incisions but may feel more natural.
