Celebrities Inspire Increase in Arm Lifts

New statistics released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) show that the popularity of Arm Lifts for women has skyrocketed a staggering 4,378 percent in just over the last decade. The trend fueled, in part, by sleeveless fashions for women and more focus on celebrities with strong arms. In a recent poll, women admired the toned and shapely arms of Michelle Obama, Jennifer Aniston. Jessica Biel, Demi Moore and Kelly Ripa.

Upper Arm Lifts can include liposuction or a surgical procedure known as brachioplasty, in which loose skin is removed from the back of the arms. In 2012 more than 15,000 women had an upper arm lift, in sharp contrast to only 300 procedures in 2000.
